THE WINNERS OF THE ALBACARA LITERARY CONTEST ARE PRESENTED WITH THE SUPPORT OF REINA DESSERTS

The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has delivered the different prizes to the winning works of the Albacara 2020 Literary Contest, which due to the situation caused by Covid-19 has been held with reduced attendance, being broadcast through social networks and local television.

In the 2020 edition, 319 works by authors from different parts of the national and foreign panorama have been presented.

As in previous editions, the literary contest linked to the figure of San Juan de Cruz, Postres Reina has been present together with the support of the Community of Discalced Carmelites and Editorial Gollarín.

The Jury chaired by the poet Luis Bagué, the writer Luis Leante and the librarian Juan Antonio Martinez Piqueras, have decided that the winners of the 2020 edition in the different categories are:

International Prize for Mystical Poetry “San Juan de la Cruz”: It has been awarded to the writer resident in Valencia Mar Busquets-Mataix with the work “Exiles”, being endowed this prize with 3,000 euros and the edition of the work. For her part, the Chilean writer María Paz Cuevas Silva has been a finalist with the work “Florecer una araucaria”

International Narrative Award “City of Caravaca de la Cruz”: It has fallen for the work “The stories of my father” by the Argentine author Ariel Alberto Díaz, with a prize endowed with 1,500 euros.

Award for the youth category “Mandarin school”:

In the first category of Narrative, the first and second prizes went to Sofia Cutillas Solano de Molina de Segura and Lucía Carrillo Almagro from Javalí Nuevo (Murcia).

First category of Poetry the winners of the first and second prizes have been Patricia Nortes Nicolas de Murcia and Otilia Abellán Alcaraz de Librilla.

In the second category of Narrative the authors Mekdes Lucía García Vázquez de Murcia and Lucía Rodríguez Martínez de Moratalla have won the first and second prize respectively, being Alejandro O ́Rearson-Byle del Pilar de la Horadada the winner in the second category of poetry, while in the third category the winners in the Narrative and Poetry prizes have been Estela Verdejo Navarro from Caravaca de la Cruz and Carlos Rubio González from Cartagena.

Desserts Reina has been firmly supporting a multitude of cultural, social and sports activities that take place in the Region of Murcia and beyond.
